Series of workshops for nonprofit leaders is now open with subsidized rates

BOSTON, MA, November 13, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Third Sector New England, Inc. (TSNE) is excited to unveil its Better Nonprofit Management (BNM) Training Series for the 2023-2024 season. These workshops are designed to empower nonprofit professionals with the skills and insights required to lead and manage organizations more effectively in today’s dynamic environment.

The BNM Training Series will offer a range of live, interactive webinars and in-person sessions led by experienced trainers. These sessions are tailored to meet the needs of nonprofit supervisors, both new and seasoned, professionals transitioning into supervisory roles, and organizations seeking comprehensive training for their teams.

Training Schedule Preview:

Financial Management 101: Understand the fundamentals of nonprofit financial management with expert Maureen Miller.

Inspiring Leadership through Emotional Intelligence: Develop your leadership capabilities with Nesly Metayer and Dr. Judy Freiwirth.

Adaptive Supervision: Learn how to adjust your management style to support staff success with Joanne Horgan and Lyn Freundlich.

Performance Management: Enhance your team’s performance with effective communication and feedback strategies.

“These workshops are not just about learning new skills; they are about connecting with peers, sharing experiences, and becoming part of a larger community committed to driving positive change,” says Heang Ly, director of consulting at TSNE.

The series will kick off in December with a Financial Management 101 online training. Participants can look forward to gaining a deep dive into budget management, financial reporting, cash flow, and operating reserve strategies critical for leading successful nonprofit organizations.

TSNE is also introducing a tiered-based fee structure for BNM trainings (with the exception of supervision trainings), making these invaluable learning opportunities accessible to a wider audience. “We are committed to ensuring that every day working class people and professionals from smaller budget-sized, grassroots and/or community-based organizations are resourced to be effective leaders in their community” says Carro Hua, manager of cohort-learning. “Our fee structure is proportionate to people’s income and/or organizational budget-size. We welcome people to pay what they can as well as contribute more if it is within their means to ensure trainings are accessible to all of their peers.”
